How to Become a Member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
If you have not as yet accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and Lord, the pastor or another church member could lead you to an acquaintance with Him and would be most happy to talk with you about this. There is nothing more beautiful and incredible than a daily relationship with Jesus! Jesus said, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18, 19).
As Jesus directs us, there is a teaching process for the new believer, so that he/she can understand the basics of the Christian faith. The pastor would be happy to study with you as you prepare for baptism.
If you have already accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord and wish to join this church, again, you will probably want to study the basic teachings of the Bible with the pastor, as you prepare for baptism.
If you have previously been baptized by immersion, you can become a member by profession of faith--that is, agreeing with the baptismal vows and basic teachings teachings of the Bible.
